Haiyue Sheng Lighting Selected as a Municipal-Level "Specialized, Fine, and New" Cultivation Enterprise—R&D Drives Breakthrough Success

The Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has officially announced the list of municipal-level "Specialized, Fine, and New" enterprises slated for cultivation in 2025. Haiyuesheng Lighting has successfully made the cut, thanks to its deep-rooted technological expertise in the semiconductor lighting sector—and it is the only lighting company from Dongfeng Town to be recognized this time.
It’s worth noting that the selection process for "Specialized, Fine, and New" enterprises requires meeting stringent criteria, including R&D investment ratio, patent numbers, and market share. Notably, Haiyuesheng Lighting has maintained an R&D expenditure ratio consistently above 8% over the past two years, surpassing the industry average by 3 percentage points.
The company’s R&D team consists of 12 senior engineers, focusing on tackling core technologies such as intelligent control and efficient heat dissipation. They have already secured five utility model patents, including "A Self-Adjusting Dimming Device for Photovoltaic Street Lamps" and "A Method for Preparing Antibacterial LED Lampshades," while three additional invention patents have entered the substantive examination phase.
"Our newly developed thermal management material, co-developed with the University of Electronic Science and Technology, has extended the lifespan of LED lighting products from 50,000 hours to 100,000 hours," explained Wang Hao, Director of R&D.
According to policy, the company will receive up to 2 million yuan in subsidies and rewards for its digital transformation efforts. Currently, the company has initiated a smart workshop upgrade project, planning to introduce automated testing equipment and an MES production management system to further enhance manufacturing efficiency.
